The problem is, unless you have a Mining and also an Herbalist alt (perhaps a new "Holy Cow" Tauren Pally or Priest.) then you can't really do Alchemy and Engineering too. If not that, I suppose Alchemy isn't really a bad idea. Am I crazy or doesn't that just kinda make sense anyhow? That is, once a goblin has the required engi skill to do a specific goblin engineering recipe, rather than doing the goblin engi quest chain, simply by being a goblin and also an engineer, you classify as a goblin engineer.
Maybe dwarves could get the generic engineering passive (would help with making guns for their other passive), gnomes and goblins would instead get a totally different passive - the ability to do goblin or gnomish engineering stuff without having to do the whole quest/payment/etc for it.
